Classical Literature Revisited

December 30, 2030 - December 31, 2030

Classical Literature Revisited

Currently Reading:

Wise Blood by Flannery O’Connor

About This Course:

Are there well-known books considered classics that you haven’t read but would like to explore? Might there be some lesser known titles by well-known authors that could be added to the list of  heir more famous works? What do these books and authors say to you now? Do they have a timelessness that applies to today’s life and times or are/were they just a good story? What makes a book a classic, anyway? Perhaps there is no definitive answer.

Join the Classics book group to read and discuss classic literature with the view of challenging each other for new insights into old favorites. The group reads mainly novels first published fifty or more years ago that are still in print and/or easily obtained, usually from several sources and in various formats and/or editions, often free. Come for the discussion and bring your own suggestions of books and authors for future reading!

Getting Started:
