We accept monetary donations, as well as items like books, audiobooks, and DVDs. Items donated to us will either be added to our collection or will be given to the Friends of the Oak Ridge Public Library to sell as part of their fundraising efforts.

Item Donations
We accept items for donation inside the library in our Donation Center or via the donation drop on the access road outside the library. Receipts stating the number of items you donated and date of donation are available upon request during business hours on items brought inside only.
We ask that you not place items that you wish to donate to us in the outdoor book drop.
Four Boxes or Less
If you are donating four boxes/large bags worth of items or less, you can bring them to the donation center, located inside the main library.
Five Boxes or More
If you are donating five or more boxes/large bags worth of items, please call the library at (865) 425-3455 and ask for the contact number for the FOL president, Nancy Hardin.
Monetary Donations
Whether they are one-time or recurring, monetary donations and support are handled by the library director, Julie Forkner.

Endowment Fund
Initiated by the Friends of Oak Ridge Public Library in February of 1970, the Oak Ridge Library Endowment Fund was created to support the capital needs of the library. The Endowment Fund is managed by the City of Oak Ridge on behalf of the library.
