This book club is hosted by the American Museum of Science and Energy, which works to tell the story of the advances in science and engineering that have occurred in Oak Ridge since the first days of the Manhattan Project. Every month, they read and discuss books related to science, engineering, technology, mathematics, or history and how these intersect. The Club is so much fun and you will learn a lot, too!
As you read the book for July, you will get insight from AMSE’s Executive Director, Alan Lowe, and can find out more information about the author through the AMSEcast podcast (available through most podcasting services).
In addition to their book club, AMSE is a powerful engine of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education and inspiration. With their fun, interactive exhibits and programs, every day they tell visitors from the globe exciting, world-changing stories and help explain how the world and universe works.
