Flatwater Tales Storyteller Bil Lepp at the Library

Oak Ridge Public Library is excited to partner with Flatwater Tales to bring world renowned storyteller Bil Lepp to the library on Saturday, June 3 at 11 AM.  We invite families to hear, free of charge, the five-time winner of W. Virginia’s Biggest Liar competition, Bil Lepp. Bil is the author of The King of Little Things as well as The Princess and the Pickup Truck. He has performed at the National Book Festival, on Comedy Central, and at the Smithsonian Folk Life Festival and is a regular at the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, TN. 

This special event is free of charge thanks to the generosity of a local donor and will be held in the main library. Seating is limited, so please plan to arrive early.

Popular storytellers Lyn Ford,Robert Jones and Bil Lepp will tell different stories at every show.

Friday, June 2: 
7:00pm: A special performance by Rev. Robert Jones, “American History Through Music,” and stories from Bil Lepp and Lyn Ford.

Saturday, June 3:
10:00am: Family Show (5 & older).
2:00pm: Afternoon show. 
7:00pm: Evening show — An original story by Bil Lepp, “I Guess Ol’ John Wasn’t Crazy After All: John Hendrix, the Prophet of Oak Ridge” and stories by Lyn Ford and Robert Jones

Friday, Saturday afternoon & evening shows: $15 each
Saturday morning show: $10 adult, $5 children
