Sensory-Friendly Story Group is the newest addition to our storytime line-up. This inclusive program is geared toward kids ages 2-6 who are on the autism spectrum or have other sensory processing issues. Story Group will be offered once a month on a Friday at 10:30. The program will be 20-25 minutes long and include movement and interactive components.
Sensory-Friendly Story Group is a uniquely designed program to help families with neurodivergent children engage with literacy and learning in a calm, welcoming, and comfortable space. Each group is limited to 12 families in order to keep the programs small and approachable.
The April Sensory-Friendly Story Group will be held at 10:30 on Friday, April 19th in the library auditorium. Because space is limited, we are asking all interested families to register by calling the Children’s Room at 865-425-3459.
