ORICL is sponsored by Roane State Community College, which also provides classrooms, an office, and administrative support. Residents of Oak Ridge and the surrounding area of all backgrounds and educational levels are invited to become members. Its programs are designed to respond to the interests of the participants who may take courses, go on group trips, or join in other activities. In order to attend ORICL classes and activities, it is necessary to join the Institute as a dues-paying member.

ORICL offers a varied selection of book groups to choose from, including groups that focus on mysteries, fiction, nonfiction, classics, and more. You will need to register to participate in these groups, and may register for ORICL’s book groups through their website.
