Oak Ridge Public Library presents The Latest Developments in Fusion Energy
Michael Loughlin will describe the development of the science and technology of nuclear fusion from its earliest proposal to the latest concepts for the commercialization of fusion as a clean source of energy. In the talk, he will describe the early experiments in controlled nuclear fusion and the steady progression to today where we are on the verge of achieving what had been described as one of the most important challenges of the 21st century, a nuclear fusion power plant.
