What do you do when you’ve aged out of the Children’s Room but don’t want to read from our adult collection? Come to the Teen Section of your library!
Our teen fiction is located in the YPF section, one of the first seating areas you see when you walk through the main entrance. We take pride in our ever-growing teen collection, as we add new titles every month! Come hang out with friends at the high or low topped tables, charge your phone, or lounge on the couch to get caught up on the latest trending title.

Volunteer Opportunities
Are you a high school student in need of hours for TN Promise or other scholarships? Sign up to volunteer to start earning time to reach your goals! Must be 14 years or older to apply. Homeschoolers welcome.
If the library's volunteer shifts are full, or you have over 40+ hours to earn, here are some extra options for donating your time:

City Internship
Our summer internship is designed for high schoolers wishing to learn how a library functions. Task work includes checking items in, shelving them and assisting with other collection maintenance activities.

Need a place for your group to meet?
The Library has a glassed-in meeting room that you can book up to one week in advance. Reserve the space to work on a group project, quiet study, or for your next Dungeons and Dragons session. Just make sure to check in at the Main Desk for your reservation!

Unleash your creativity with the library’s new Share, Learn and Make Space. The SLAM space has digital art programs, a silhouette cutting machine and laminator available so you can make something great!
