The meeting room is available for groups of less than 20 to hold a comfortable meeting, or up to 40 people seated auditorium style. Teleconferencing and presentation equipment is available. There is no charge for the meeting room but reservations can only be made up to one week ahead of time.
The auditorium is the largest available space for meeting in the library. Seating up to 65 guests auditorium style, the auditorium is well-suited for presentations. For meetings and other events, tables of various sizes and limited presentation equipment is available. There is a charge to rent the auditorium.
The Share, Learn, and Make space is the library’s digitization station and more. Convert your VHS, film negatives, photographs, and documents to digital files. You can also learn more about digital art programs including 3-D animation. Our Silhoutte machine is available to make your creative inspiration a reality. To use the SLAM space you will need a library card and an orientation session.
The Oak Ridge Room houses the library’s collection of the municipal history City of Oak Ridge, documents and photos of life during the WWII’s Manhattan Project, and much more. Maps of the original Manhattan District, city directories, Oak Ridge schools yearbooks, and much more tell the story of the people who lived and worked in Oak Ridge. Oak Ridge Room hours are limited so it is best to make an appointment.
Our hallway displays showcase the work and events of local non-profit, youth, civic and other Oak Ridge organizations. If you would like to highlight your organization’s effort, you can reserve a display for one month.
