The Auditorium is the library’s largest room available for reservations, holding up to 65 seats at its max capacity.
Applicants may reserve this space as early as six months in advance up to five (5) days before the desired event date. If you wish to reserve this space further in advance, please call our Circulation Desk at (865) 425-3455.
Fees
Events sponsored by Oak Ridge Public Library or other agencies of the City of Oak Ridge have priority for meeting room use and are exempt from fees. All other patrons requesting to reserve the Auditorium will follow the tiered cost breakdown for room rentals.

Payment of rental and other fees will be due at the time of confirmation up to 5 days before your reservation.
Set-Up
The layout of the Auditorium is approximately 38’ x 26’ with a small stage at one end. We also offer rectangular folding tables with plenty of chairs, and, for an additional fee of $25.00, patrons can request library staff to have the space set up for them in advance.

Additionally, the library offers technology for use in the Auditorium that can be applied to your reservation. A projector which can connect to either a personal device or library laptop via HDMI. An HDMI adapter is available for devices without an HDMI port. Library laptops will need to be checked out prior to your event.
Speakers, microphones and a microphone stand are available. Speakers only have one input source. If you would like to have multiple mics connected, or several input sources, you must provide your own speakers or other technology.
Breakdown
Food and clean-up are the responsibility of the patron. At the end of the reservation, tables and chairs are to be left in place, and our staff will remove the trash. Patrons are required to bag their trash and place it in the trash cans, and to be sure that all personal items have been removed.
Staff will perform an initial and final walkthrough of the space to ensure it is free of damage, trash and/or personal items.
Cancellations
Cancellations must be initiated by the reserving party two (2) calendar days in advance for the scheduled activity to receive a ninety percent (90%) refund of the paid fees. Exception – in cases of inclement weather patrons may notify the library the day of the scheduled use.
